This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work 3 days remotely while collaborating with industry experts in our state-of-the-art downtown Oakland security operations center. You'll directly impact our mission to safeguard critical systems for Fortune 500 clients across healthcare, finance, and tech sectors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response investigations and forensic analysis
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis or SOC operations
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH required
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure security services)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
- BS in Computer Science or related field
