The Role:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyberattacks. You will monitor security operations centers (SOC), analyze security alerts, and respond to incidents with speed and precision.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Manage firewall configurations and ensure network segmentation policies are enforced.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, root-causing breaches, and document findings.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and architecture.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
