Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents through SIEM platforms (Splunk, LogRhythm) in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts.
- Investigate and respond to security breaches and anomalies with rapid containment strategies.
- Enforce security policies and maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network defenses.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a SOC, Information Security, or network administration role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems.
- Experience with threat intelligence tools, malware analysis, and incident response methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
