Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalous activities
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis of security breaches
- Develop and implement threat detection strategies using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Collaborate with red team on penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Generate executive-level security reports and incident response documentation
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Stay current on emerging threats and implement proactive countermeasures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC analyst background
- Certifications: CISSP, GIAC GCIH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in SIEM implementation and threat hunting methodologies
- Experience with NIST cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
