Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments
- Develop and maintain security playbooks and detection rules
- Perform forensic analysis of security incidents and malware
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening and compliance
- Generate executive security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar role
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools, network protocols, and threat detection
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with incident response procedures and malware analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
