Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations, root cause analysis, and coordinate effective incident response procedures.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and playbooks to enhance the organization's defensive posture.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure secure network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tool development.
