Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.) to mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) in alignment with industry best practices.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to contain breaches and restore system integrity.
- Perform threat hunting and adversary emulation to proactively identify sophisticated cyberattacks.
- Manage firewall configurations, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions to enforce network security posture.
- Provide security awareness training and consultation to staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with security tools including Splunk, FireEye, Snort, and Active Directory.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
