Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM environment (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and eradication of cybersecurity incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Compliance & Policy: Develop, implement, and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Network Defense: Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and access controls to protect network perimeters.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT, engineering, and legal teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC analysis, incident response, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools (Splunk, FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike) and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
