Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar, identifying potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Lead and manage incident response activities, including triage, investigation, and remediation of security breaches.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
