Responsibilities
- Lead incident response investigations for complex security breaches using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Design and implement robust network security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Develop threat intelligence reports and proactive mitigation strategies for emerging risks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to security awareness training programs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in threat detection/response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC (e.g., GCFA, GCIH)
- Expertise in network security tools (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong understanding of cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical findings to executives
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
