Job Summary:
The QA Tester will be responsible for identifying bugs, verifying fixes, and ensuring the high quality of our software applications. You will work closely with developers and product managers to define test cases, execute tests, and report defects in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality and functionality.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers) to understand requirements and provide technical feedback.
- Perform manual and automated testing (Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools) to verify software behavior.
- Execute regression testing to ensure new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system stability under peak traffic.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to stay aligned with project goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) or Software Testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, life cycles, and best practices.
- Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Appium) and bug tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying and verification.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
