Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect, analyze, and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts for internal networks and applications.
- Investigate security incidents, perform log analysis, and execute forensic procedures to determine the scope and root cause of breaches.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and enforcement of enterprise security policies and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the full-time engineering team to implement security patches and remediate vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Information Security role.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with incident response frameworks and methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
