Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Cabling & Hardware: Perform cable termination, patching, and rack organization to ensure a clean and organized server room.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor network traffic and performance to identify potential bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
- Support: Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software updates for end-users and servers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting logs.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling tools (crimpers, toners).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Availability: Ability to work part-time hours with the flexibility to handle occasional on-call emergencies.
