Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, router configurations, and firewall settings to minimize downtime.
- Perform regular network audits, hardware upgrades, and security patching to ensure system integrity.
- Provide on-site technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding network usage and security protocols.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures accurately.
- Monitor network performance and respond to alerts regarding bandwidth utilization or security threats.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical certification (CCNA/CompTIA Network+ preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network administration and support.
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits.
