Responsibilities
- Network Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts efficiently.
- Cable Management: Perform cabling tasks, including termination, patching, and organizing network cabling to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Firewall & Security: Assist in monitoring firewall logs and implementing basic security protocols to protect network integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes made, and technical documentation.
- Support: Provide technical support to end-users regarding network-related queries and software installations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+).
- Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or a related IT field.
- Skills: Proficiency in Cisco networking equipment, routers, switches, and basic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to work a part-time schedule, including potential on-call hours for critical network outages.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for occasional off-site maintenance.
