Apex Financial Security is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Cybersecurity Analyst with a specialized focus on Equity Options infrastructure. In this role, you will work approximately 20-25 hours per week, supporting our mission to safeguard proprietary trading algorithms and sensitive client information. Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and trading platforms for anomalies and potential intrusions targeting equity options data.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on financial web applications.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards, specifically regarding FINRA and NIST regulations.
- Investigate security incidents and manage incident response procedures to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with internal development teams to harden code and secure cloud environments.
- Review and analyze security logs to identify trends and mitigate risks before they escalate.
- Provide security consultation to the trading operations team regarding data privacy.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, with a focus on equity options and derivatives trading systems.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work part-time while maintaining high availability and responsiveness.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a background check required for financial sector employment.
