Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and report on security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Configure and maintain network security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN gateways.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and potential breaches in a timely manner.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or HIPAA.
- Document security incidents, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification or higher (e.g., Security+, CySA+, SSCP).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in network security or information security analysis.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments and command-line interfaces.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
