Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze security alerts, investigate breaches, and prepare incident reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Provide security awareness training to staff across multiple client locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, OpenVAS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid Hawaii driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
