Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation actions
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry trends through continuous research
- Assist in compliance audits for regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with Windows/Linux environments and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize security alerts
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred
