Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in the Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect potential threats.
- Analyze logs and traffic data to identify suspicious activity and vulnerabilities.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents according to established protocols.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management for internal systems.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and NIST standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Willingness to participate in a rigorous, 12-week paid training program.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a high-pressure, 24/7 environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
