Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity and anomalies.
- Investigate and triage security alerts, incidents, and potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of security tools and firewalls.
- Document incident reports and maintain compliance with internal security policies.
- Participate in threat hunting exercises and red team operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, 24/7 SOC environment.
- Effective communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Eagerness to obtain Security+ or equivalent certifications within the first year.
