Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, diagnose hardware and software faults, and implement effective solutions.
- Perform regular network audits, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Document network topology, configurations, and operational procedures for team reference.
- Assist in the deployment of new network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and structured cabling.
- Provide technical support and training to internal staff regarding network usage and troubleshooting.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify potential threats or anomalies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Valid CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with Cisco routing and switching protocols (IOS, NX-OS).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (e.g., server rooms, construction sites).
- Willingness to work occasional on-call hours or weekends for critical network maintenance.
