Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools
- Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO)
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports in ITSM systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and cloud migrations
- Provide Tier-2/3 technical support for complex network-related user issues
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments
- Train junior staff on network best practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in network administration and infrastructure support
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet network equipment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN protocols
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites within Ohio
