Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network issues, including hardware failures, software conflicts, and connectivity problems.
- Perform regular network audits and security assessments to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network access and security policies.
- Manage and maintain network hardware inventory, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Certification such as CCNA, Network+, or CCNP is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
