The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of local and wide-area networks. You will ensure high levels of availability and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and upgrades to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents and service tickets in a timely manner.
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Collaborate with vendors and clients to ensure seamless integration of new network solutions.
- Conduct cable management, termination, and physical infrastructure audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Valid CCNA or equivalent networking certification is highly desired.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with cabling standards (Cat6, fiber optics) and cable testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
