Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct forensic investigations on security breaches and data compromises
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement vulnerability remediation strategies
- Perform risk assessments for new systems and network architectures
- Manage incident response lifecycle from detection to post-incident analysis
- Generate executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with security tools: IDS/IPS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance regulations
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail under pressure
