You will work closely with our systems engineers and support staff to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot complex network environments. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues, connectivity failures, and hardware malfunctions efficiently.
- Manage and monitor network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Perform regular network audits and security assessments to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Assist in the physical and logical cabling infrastructure, including fiber and copper termination.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports accurately.
- Provide tier 2 support and training to internal staff regarding network policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Experience with network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites within the Kansas City metro area.
