Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including software updates, patch management, and hardware upgrades.
- Monitor network performance and security to ensure optimal uptime and data integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues for end-users and servers efficiently.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes for audit and reference purposes.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new network solutions and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in physical cabling (Cat6, fiber optics) and rack management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
