Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform structured cabling tasks, including fiber and copper termination (RJ45, RJ48, LC/SC).
- Conduct network audits and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to and resolve network connectivity issues and service tickets efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and changes.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to deploy new infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in IT or Network Engineering preferred.
- Valid Network+ or CCNA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network installation and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic splicing and termination.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors).
