Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal network performance.
- Monitor network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage and maintain Virtual Private Networks (VPN) for secure remote access.
- Document network infrastructure changes and create technical diagrams.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for end-users regarding network-related hardware and software issues.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure hardware and software compatibility and timely maintenance.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in network administration or IT support.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Valid driver’s license (for occasional on-site maintenance duties).
