Responsibilities
- Assist in the physical installation, termination, and testing of network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber).
- Perform routine maintenance on network switches, routers, and firewalls under supervision.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime for clients.
- Document network configurations and rack layouts using industry-standard software.
- Conduct site visits to client locations to assess infrastructure needs and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to maintain a secure and efficient network environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (we support training costs).
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems is preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in server rooms or elevated spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Omaha metro area.
