Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco/Juniper network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Resolve network outages and security incidents with SLA-driven response times
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Implement VLAN segmentation, QoS policies, and VPN solutions for secure connectivity
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to optimize hybrid infrastructure performance
- Provide Tier 3 support escalation for complex network issues
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise network administration
- CCNA or equivalent network certification required (CCNP preferred)
- Proficiency in network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configuration
- Experience with network security implementations (Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, ping, traceroute, and similar tools
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet) is advantageous
- Ability to lift 50lbs for equipment installation and maintenance
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
