Responsibilities
- Deploy and optimize enterprise-level networks including LAN/WAN configurations, firewalls, and VPN systems
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Diagnose and resolve complex network outages with root cause analysis
- Implement network security protocols including ACLs, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architecture
- Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid network integrations and Azure/AWS deployments
- Train junior staff on network best practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network hardware and CLI management
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent network certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configurations
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Palo Alto, Cisco Viptela)
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and threat mitigation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs for equipment installation and maintenance
- CompTIA Network+ certification a plus
