Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-prem networks
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions)
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and harden systems
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive security dashboards
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds and research
- Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network protocols, and operating systems
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
