Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco/Juniper network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds/NPM and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Implement security protocols (VPNs, ACLs) and ensure compliance with NIST standards
- Document network topology changes and maintain up-to-date Visio diagrams
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid network architecture optimization
- Provide Tier-3 support during critical outages and perform root cause analysis
- Lead network upgrade projects including Wi-Fi 6E deployments
Qualifications
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent network engineering experience
- 3+ years hands-on experience with enterprise LAN/WAN environments
- Proficiency in BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configuration protocols
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
- Ability to lift 40lbs for equipment installation and rack mounting
- Excellent written communication for technical documentation
- CompTIA Security+ preferred
