Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Troubleshoot complex network issues using diagnostic tools and remote access protocols
- Document network configurations, changes, and security protocols in compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement VLAN segmentation and access controls
- Provide Tier 3 support for enterprise clients during scheduled maintenance windows
- Train junior technicians on network best practices and documentation procedures
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network infrastructure
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification required
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work independently
- Valid Missouri driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
