Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to ensure optimal uptime
- Implement security protocols including VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and access controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues
- Document network configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for network-related user inquiries
- Conduct regular network audits and performance optimization
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or equivalent certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper hardware
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configuration
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices
- Experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network analyzers
- Relevant certifications (CCNP, Security+) preferred
