Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues promptly
- Implement security protocols to protect network integrity
- Document network configurations and create technical reports
- Collaborate with IT teams on system upgrades and maintenance
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to end-users
- Manage VPN connections and network access controls
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of network administration experience
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows/Linux environments
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark)
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Valid North Carolina driver's license for occasional site visits
