Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Splunk) to detect potential cyber threats and intrusions.
- Incident Response: Assist in the triage, investigation, and documentation of security incidents and breaches under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Vulnerability Management: Participate in vulnerability scanning and remediation processes to ensure our systems remain secure against known exploits.
- Log Analysis: Analyze system logs and network traffic to identify anomalous behavior and patterns indicative of malicious activity.
- Compliance Reporting: Support internal audit requirements and compliance efforts (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) by preparing relevant documentation.
- Security Awareness: Assist in creating and delivering security awareness materials to promote a culture of security within the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Network Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in IT, help desk, or related technical roles; recent graduates with a focus on security are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) is a strong plus. Certification in CCNA, CEH, or CISSP is a bonus.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization.
- Tools: Familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint detection systems, or basic scripting (Python/Bash) is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
