Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor SIEM platforms and security alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Assist in the triage and containment of security incidents, documenting findings and collaborating with the incident response team.
- Vulnerability Management: Participate in vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts, ensuring systems are patched and secure.
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and permissions, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.
- Security Awareness: Contribute to internal security awareness training programs and assist in policy creation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (preferred) or willingness to obtain it within 6 months.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, basic Linux and Windows administration, and firewall concepts.
- Tools: Understanding of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
