What You'll Do
As an IT Support Trainee, you will assist our senior technicians in maintaining our internal infrastructure and supporting over 200 employees. This is a hands-on role where you will learn the ropes of help desk management and network administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage and update IT inventory and asset tracking records.
- Respond to and prioritize help desk tickets in our ticketing system.
- Assist in the setup of new hires and software installations.
- Monitor system performance and report potential issues to senior staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field is a plus.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the IT field.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 40 lbs).
- Reliable transportation to the Minneapolis office.
