Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and coordinate effective response efforts to minimize downtime.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce and maintain compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and SOC 2 standards.
- Develop and update security policies and procedures to mitigate emerging risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden system architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC, Security Operations Center, or Information Security role.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Protection.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration is required.
- Understanding of cryptography, network protocols, and threat vectors.
- CISSP, Security+, or CISM certification is highly preferred.
