Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
- Document network infrastructure changes and maintain up-to-date diagrams
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to internal staff via ticketing systems
- Assist in network security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with senior technicians on infrastructure projects
- Participate in weekly training sessions to build technical expertise
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (A+ certification preferred but not mandatory)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 30lbs and work in server environments
- Valid California driver's license (for occasional site visits)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain CompTIA Network+ within 6 months
