Equity Options Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable business insights that drive our strategic decisions.
In this position, you will work closely with senior analysts to manage data pipelines, create visualizations, and support our reporting infrastructure. We provide comprehensive training and mentorship to help you develop essential skills in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather raw data from various sources and perform rigorous cleaning and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Dashboard Creation: Assist in the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct basic statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business data to support decision-making processes.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, translating complex data findings into clear, understandable insights.
- Database Support: Support database management tasks, including querying data using SQL and maintaining data documentation.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with SQL is a plus (training provided).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and draw logical conclusions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling large datasets.
- Software Proficiency: Willingness to learn data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI.
