Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and intrusion detection systems (IDS) for suspicious activity in real-time.
- Assist in the execution of basic vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate logs for audit compliance.
- Respond to Tier 1 helpdesk tickets related to network security and endpoint protection.
- Conduct routine security awareness training for team members.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to identify and mitigate emerging cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field is a plus.
- No Experience Required: We prioritize aptitude and attitude over a resume.
- Technical Basics: Basic understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Must be willing to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of hire.
- Location: Must be based in Dallas, TX (or willing to relocate) to support our Florida operations remotely.
