Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Assist in the identification, triage, and documentation of potential security incidents.
- Support vulnerability management and patch management processes for internal trading systems.
- Conduct basic log analysis to identify anomalies in network traffic and user behavior.
- Participate in security awareness training programs and red team exercises.
- Document security incidents and assist in the creation of post-incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, ports, protocols).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+) within 12 months of hire.
- Passion for cybersecurity and keeping up with the latest threat landscapes.
