Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the detection, analysis, and reporting of security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Perform routine security audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Document security configurations, incident reports, and system changes accurately.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to recommend improvements to security protocols.
- Conduct preliminary penetration testing and vulnerability assessments under supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows and Linux) and command-line interfaces.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
