Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events in real-time to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Document security incidents, maintain accurate logs, and prepare incident reports.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to troubleshoot security anomalies and ensure system integrity.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
- Support compliance audits and internal security audits as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, OSI model, HTTP, and DNS.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux) and command-line interfaces.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a focus on detail.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
