Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify potential security anomalies or threats.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and security audits under senior supervision.
- Respond to security alerts and incidents, documenting findings and assisting in remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threat vectors, and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, OSI Model) is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be a US Citizen eligible for government clearance (if applicable to the specific role).
