Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
- Assist the Security Operations Center (SOC) in triaging and responding to security alerts.
- Conduct preliminary vulnerability assessments and security audits on internal systems.
- Document security incidents, threats, and resolutions in our ticketing systems.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and assist in implementing new security protocols.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to identify and mitigate risks to organizational data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong interest in network security, ethical hacking, or information security.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances.
